Over a century ago, in the valleys of Gandhara in present-day Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Charsadwal chappal (Saplay), now widely known as the Peshawari Chappal, was born. Handcrafted in the bustling bazaars of Charsadda using locally sourced leather, it became a symbol of the region’s rich heritage, renowned for its distinctive design and durability.
Originally made for farmers, merchants, and travelers, the Peshawari Chappal was designed to provide lasting comfort and resilience, perfectly suited to the region’s rugged terrain and hot climate.
